Here at The Illusion we provide a range of 1-1 training courses to accommodate everyone’s individual levels of makeup skills. Training courses are carried out on a 1-1 basis or within a group course (depending on the course you choose) by our senior artists.

Opening Days & Times

Our courses can be carried out every weekday depending on the course and artist you choose and run from 9am-5pm. Don’t worry if you cant make these times, we also offer late night courses and Sunday training – these can be discussed over the phone.

Payment & Booking Fees

Each of our courses have a specific booking fee (please see course section below for more details). The booking fee must be paid in order to secure your place on the course – we cannot save dates / places. All booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable should you cancel the course. If you want to change the date of the course, another booking fee would be required, as this is a cancellation of the original date. The remaining balance of your course must be paid on arrival for your lesson.

On The Day

Please arrive 10 mins prior to your lesson start time and take a seat in our reception area. You will be given our course contract to fill out, with all the information of what will happen/is required for the day. Payment can be taken at reception prior to the lesson starting. You will then be greeted by your chosen artist and the lesson will commence. All lessons include a 1 hour lunch break.

Parking

All day free parking is located in several areas, i.e. Plantation Street, Abbey Street and several more. If for any reason you struggle, please contact the salon.

Learn Your Own Face

Do you struggle with your own makeup routine? Our learn your own face lesson will help this. You will learn a more simple / subtle look to compliment your natural beauty and enhance your features. Your tutor will teach you the makeup look side by side in a mirror, breaking down each step for you. Your tutor will guide you through the makeup steps at your own pace by demonstrating on one side of your face and allowing you to recreate the look on the other side.

This lesson is catered for beginners to makeup, who want to learn how to perfect their own daily makeup routine.
Includes full use of our makeup and brush kit, strip lashes and a product and brush list breakdown and face chart.

Our 1-1 courses are taught on a private basis and tailored around each individual student. You can choose any look(s) of your choice along with the choice of artist you would like to train with. We provide full use of our Product and Brush kits, finishing with flawless professional photos to show off your skills and potential.

Your tutor will demonstrate the chosen look on one side of our models face, breaking down each step at your own pace. You will then recreate these steps on the other side of the models face, with our guidance from start to finish.

A notepad is provided to allow you to take notes throughout the lesson, in order for you to review when you get home and to continue to practice in your own time. A level of basic skill is needed to complete this course. Please note: All booking fees are non- refundable.

Artist Experience 1-1 Basis

3 Looks (9 hours) This can be split into 3 scattered hours	£450.00	(£150.00 deposit)

Info

1-1 basis with 3 artists – 2 looks per artist. This course is a unique learning experience for anyone wanting to learn a variety of skills and techniques (ranging from beginners to advanced). Students will get the opportunity to learn from our three senior artists (Olivia, Tia and Beth) over three days. Each day you will learn 2 looks of your choice with a different artist, learning their own unique style and techniques along with their top tips and tricks. Your tutor will demonstrate the chosen look on one side of our models face, breaking down each step at your own pace. You will then recreate these steps on the other side of the models face, with our guidance from start to finish. A notepad is provided to allow you to take notes throughout the lesson, in order for you to review when you get home and to continue to practice in your own time. This can be spread over 3 consecutive days or 3 consecutive weeks to accommodate you.
